Earlier this year I started using vinyl in my Silhouette Cameo. It is so enjoyable and have created a few items that I am now selling. At some point, I would like to be able to do it as a job, but for right now I guess part-time will have to do. Here are some of the things I've made. The first I made for my husband for Christmas. I used a photo of him from our Hawaii trip in 2013.

Christmas card #2
I got this idea from Silhouette Studio blog. I got my Silhouette for Christmas last year and I've enjoyed it very much. This was several different pieces that I put together. Cute huh? This is one of my favorite cards I made this year.

Christmas is just around the corner
Good evening all! I've been spending a lot of time in my craft room trying to work on my scrapbook. This year we went to 7 National Parks (Big Bend, Guadalupe, Carlsbad, Mesa Verde, Saguaro, Petrified Forest and Cuyahoga). It's taken me a lot of time to get caught up. I'll post some of my finished pages in a bit.
Now I'm trying to get ready for my Christmas mailings. This is just one of the few cards I made using a Saturated Canary digi. Now that the snow has hit Illinois, I really feel pressed to get these finished.

Easter
Good afternoon all. After a long winter, I dusted my Cameo off to make an Easter card for my mom. I also need to get working on my scrapbook. We went on two amazing trips over the winter and I have a lot to do. To see photos from our trip go to www.kkoontz.com. My husband is an amazing photographer and I just love how he captures the beauty of our trips.
This is my Easter card that I made using my Cameo. This was my best Christmas present - I just love it!

Ring in 2014
Hello all! A lot has happened since my last post. My DH and I went to Hawaii for two weeks. It was the most amazing trip I've ever been on. Once we returned, it was chaos as we had Christmas upon us, about 40 cards to make (of which I haven't taken photos of any) and 3 parties at my house. For Christmas this year my husband bought me a Silhouette Cameo and, honestly, I can't get away from it. I just love it. Below is my first card I made with it. It's for my mom. I hope you enjoy it. Now for some lobster bisque soup and back to my craft room as I watch another 4" of snow hit the ground. Lovely Chicago weather. Take care all!

It's my step-son's birthday and he is 17. Not the time for a flowery card, but I think this one fits the bill. It is a compilation of several digi stamps I found from Make It Crafty - this guy is Urban Johnny. I colored it with copics and found a great grafitti font to do his name on the wall. Hope you like it.

Holidays are upon us
Below is my most recent Christmas card. My DH and I will be on vacation in Hawaii from late November thru early December, so I have to get everything prepared for Christmas - including getting my cards ready for the mail. Below is my latest - I colored it with Copics.

Christmas seems right around the corner
Happy Monday! I enjoy making holiday cards for my friends and relatives, which means I need to start early as I have quite a few that I mail. Below is one of my latest ones. This is a digi stamp that I downloaded from ETSY - its a Sherry Baldi stamp that I think is super cute. I hope you have a great week.

Halloween is just around the corner
Happy Tuesday! I'm posting a Halloween card today. My mom really enjoys my cards, so I will typically send her a few extra cards each year. I don't have any cute digi stamps for Halloween, so I brought out my Cricut and used the Paper Doll cartridge to make these cute cut-outs. Cute huh? I didn't put too many embellishments on it because I have to mail it to Missouri and it sometimes gets a bit crushed. Enjoy!

Saturated Canary card
I've been spending quite a bit of time making Christmas cards (which is crazy because the weather has been quite hot). For a break, I wanted to get started on a few birthday cards and maybe a Thanksgiving card or two ... or three. Here is my latest card using a Saturated Canary digital stamp.
Challenge at Lady Anne's Card Challenges
This month Delicious Doodles was the sponsor for our stamps. I needed to make a masculine card, so I used this cute cog and chain stamp digital stamp and added the text inside. Join us at Lady Anne's Card Challenges ...

Welcome to the neighborhood
Happy weekend everyone. Work has taken me away from my craft room for the past few weeks. Today I'm going to a BBQ for a few friends - new neighbors to our hood. I broke out my Cricut and used the HandyMan cartridge and made the following card. I'm glad I had a few hours because the piecing took a while, but it sure was a lot of fun. I hope you like it.

50 on the 50th
I have a great friend who has inspired me to get healthy. We walk our dogs almost daily and we've spent a lot of time bike riding. We rode about 300 miles so far this summer and later this month she turns 50 and we are riding the most ever in one ride - 50 miles.
For her birthday, I've made her the card below. It's not the typical loud big 50 that one would see, but I think it's ideal for our upcoming ride.
The stamp is a Magnolia. Cute huh?

Lady Anne's challenges
As most of you know, I've been chosen to be on the design team for Lady Anne's challenges. We've had some great sponsors lately and it's been a lot of fun to be on the team. Last week I made the following card. I wasn't used to using such a dark stamp, but I think it turned out pretty good as I kept with the black/white theme.
We are doing another card mid-month, which I promise will show much more colors! Enjoy - and if you have the time, hop on over to Lady Anne's to see what the other Team Members have created.

Happy Monday all! I hope you had a wonderful holiday weekend. We had so many bar-b-ques and firework displays to see over the 4 day weekend that I didn't get much else done. I do have several birthdays in July, so I have to get crackin'!
This is one I made yesterday for a gal I work with. She's a great lady and, like so many other people, aren't able to function until she's had her morning coffee. This is the card I'm sending her today. I'm certain it will make her smile. It's a Rubber Necker stamp that I've had for quite a while.

Welcome to the weekend everyone! I've had a very productive weekend, and now I plan to spend some time in my craft room to play with my new Memory Box dies and catch up on some card making and scrapbooking. This is one of my newest digital stamps from Saturated Canary called Princess Reading Beauty. My DIL is turning 20 this week and she's always been a big reader, so this stamp was chosen just for her. I hope you like it. The papers are from The Paper Studio and flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.
I'm entering this in the following challenge:
Challenges 4 Everybody
I'd enter more, but I need to learn to adjust my photos so they are less than 1MB in size
Enjoy your weekend wherever you are!
Hugs,
Heidi

New Card - Saturated Canary
Happy weekend everyone! After finally getting caught up with work, I found some time to enjoy my craft room. I have so many trips to scrapbook, but I had this Saturated Canary stamp that I printed that I was anxious to color up. It's called "turtle love". I'm not sure who I'll give it to, but I'm pleased with the way it turned out. I also used some corner dies - which I just picked up at the Milwaukee ScrapExpo. The Expo wasn't as large as last year, so I'm hoping the St. Charles Expo in August will suffice. I hope you like the card - pink and green is one of my favorite color combinations. I'll enter it in the following challenges ...

Enjoying the weekend.
This weekend the weather absolutely stinks! My DH is in Fresno for work so I'm taking advantage of the time and coloring up some digi stamps I bought a while back. This one is from Saturated Canary and it's called Latte - best $2 digi stamp! The paper is from Paper Studio and the flowers are from La Petites. Colored with Copics. I hope you like it - the card is for my SIL who just had a big birthday and loves her morning coffee. Enjoy the rest of your weekend all!
