Hello all! I hope you are doing well and have tomorrow off for President's Day. This is certainly one of the perks of my job is the extra holidays. Unfortunately, my work has been taking up a lot of my free time and I haven't posted much. I made this card below tonight for my SIL - she lives a few hours from me and has been going thru a stressful time with family health, work, kids, etc - you know, life ... So I wanted to send her a card to let her know I was thinking of her and sending a hug.
I hope you like it. It was a stamp from Gillian Roberts that I think is super cute! Papers and ribbon from my stash.

For Baby
One of my dearest friends is having a baby girl next month and I made this owl made from diapers, receiving blankets, baby pins, wash cloths, socks and hair pins. I'm sure she will absolutely love it.

New Card
The cold temperatures in the Midwest have forced me to stay in my craft room (once again). I had this stamp from Wee Stamps colored up for a while, I finally put it on a card. I'm not sure if I'll use it for a birthday card, so I didn't put a sentiment on it yet.
I'd love to hear what you think. Enjoy your weekend all my card making friends.

Happy New Year 2013
Happy New Year everyone. We had a wonderful Christmas and New Year and I hope you did as well. I made about 40 Christmas Cards this year so I was pretty busy. The cold in the Chicago area has been terrible so I've been trying to spend my free time in my craft room.
I have a few birthdays in January so I put away my Christmas papers and embellishments and started on my birthday cards. This one is for my mom. It's one of my few Sugar Nellie Stamps (I need to go shopping soon on their website). I colored it with Copics and used a few flowers from Wild Orchid.
My New Years resolution? probably to work on my coloring. I feel as if I've improved over the year, but I still have a ways to go.
I hope you like the card.

Christmas is just around the corner.
Christmas is quickly approaching and I've only gotten half of my 40 Christmas cards finished, so I took advantage of my DH being out of the house to get my creative juices flowing in my craft room. This is one of the Sugar Nellie stamps that I just love - it's called All Wrapped Up. I've entered it in a challenge for Making Greetings card for November.

It's been a while since I've had a chance to post. I've finished about half of my Christmas Cards (only 42 days left until Christmas - yikes!). But this is one that I had to finish. My husband and I married 8 years ago tomorrow and this card I made for him. He supports my crazy crafting hobby, so the least I can do is make him a nice card. I hope you like it. The stamp is my first from BugaBoo Stamps. We don't look anything like this couple on the card (at least not yet), but I thought it was cute. I hope you enjoy it.

Happy weekend everyone! My husband and I just returned from an 11 day trip to Utah. The one item I have on my bucket list is to visit all of the 58 National Parks in the United States. During this trip, we visited Arches, Canyonlands, Capital Reef, Grand Canyon, Bryce and Zion National Park. Six more off my list! Still many more to go. Now that I'm caught up with work (and laundry), I wanted to get back to my craft room and my focus was Halloween and Thanksgiving. Below is a photo of my latest card.

I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend. It's rainy and dreary here in Chicago, so I hope to put together another card or two before the day is over.
